Master of Alchemy
Black Tomb's debut album is perfect doom, they nailed it first time! From the beginning with Under the Pine I was hooked by the combination of slow heavy-as-f*** grinding riffs with a lead guitar style which reminds me of Greg Mackintosh of Paradise Lost. Favourite moment of the album is when Swine's feedback bleeds into Mortuary Rites which in turn bleeds into Draped in Flesh... fantasitic! Under the weight of Saturn, Slowly We Die!
Favorite track: Under the Pine.
Is it sludge-doom, or doom-sludge? Either way, it deserves my favourite epithet, i.e. "awesome". With the harsh vocals and heavy riffing, it reminds me a bit of Ramesses. I could have picked almost any track as favourite. There are no weak moments. The world needs more of this.
Favorite track: Eyes at Midnight.

Goood ...Al ...boom!Good album. Has two three unconditional hits. This album is different from the band’s past work. He is not my favorite. But the vocals are as high as always and inimitable. You can only wish further creative success in the style of old albums. Yuri
